As I have been cleaning this morning from the after math of a very fun Christmas thing, well random things have come to me over the hot soapy bubbles of dishes,,,,,

We always seem to have to wash potholders after Easter and Christmas
How many paper towels and dish cloths can you really go use ( a small load full here)
Were are all my Tupperware, Rubbermaid or whatever you have lids !!!!!
"Palmolive dish soap soften hands" anything will soften hands ...err water log hands after 30 min.
Non stick really ??? were not here.
Who are you kidding there is no way your going to eat all these left overs why even try to look for the Tupperware. ( I do to honor my lovely MIL who saves everything because in her house they do eat the left overs??
What do I do with all the Candy Canes?

And last but not least
Abby got a few really nice gift this year, one was a Nintendo DS pink with the Puppy Paw print ( please keep in mind her Dad loves the vids, at work the kids have them and she can really play them and well It is pink, cute and she has asked for it for two years and.... who cares) The thing is she also got her a "Tuter" (woopie cushion) among other things. The morning while she was playing with the Puppy game she asked my to "POP" the Tuter well it "POP" alright with a BIG whole it the side. It was the catastrophe of the year we had to call Daddy to go to Big lots (of crud)
to pick up about 5 more for a total of .88
It like they say the smallest cheapest thing sometimes is just as much fun. Well the the DS is her "BEST SANTA GIFT EVER IN A MILLION YEARS!! HOW DID HE KNOW" But the "tuter" is gross fun and silly"

So my random thought need to end Abby wants to do her sand art, why now I ask...well she must have seen me sweep the floor this morning and thought her own random thought

A loose what

Well the time Has come!!

Abby has been going to the Dentist since she was three on the dot every 6 months. (come on its me were talking about) The reason she LOVES to go is to get an update on the progress of losing her first tooth. Unfortunately the Dentist on her 5 1/2 year check up gave her the horrible news.. Abby has what he calls "A Julia Roberts smile ", a mouth of nice big permanent teeth. However the baby teeth are in there good and strong, which apparently is good news for parents. It seems that if you have big teeth you want your jaw to grow before your teeth start falling out...... So the big teeth can come in straight not crowded and needing orthodontia at the age of 8.

Well guess what WE HAVE OUR FAIRLY MILDLY LOOSE TOOTH !!!.

Umm Umm good

One night as a family we decided to have a burger off to see who could make the "ultimate"
The next day we went shopping for the fixings and as a family we all made our own plan of attack, Garth and I were toe for toe with our topping but there were some difference in the amount of each topping. I love beacon he loves the mushrooms and the grilled onions we both went for the yummy perfect fresh avocado. This is what magic we came up with. THEY WERE SO GOOD

I think next time I will not toast my bun so much but it was still a yummy sandwich.

We had a really great time it was the official start of our summer vacation so now we have a tradition of "family cook offs"

"Oh it was a hard one today I was working with sick-o germs in the lab"
"Do your eyes hurt from the micrcooop"?
"NA, but the words are hard to say I need to learn some new big words"

"Ok well I think we can look at the times and see, Abby what is that place Mommy doesn't know what you mean"

"Hunny did you get a note about it today?
"Ya sure"

1) a School Pep Rally....... Ah yes this must be it! Well than I see
2) a Puppie show of some sort at the local park !!! Humm yes its clear now NOT

"Hunny I do not see it I will call Mrs. H. and ask in the morning"
"Mommy all my friends will be there you know the ones in my class, the one with spike hair, the one with brownie skin. the one with all the long ponies and the boy who gets the naughty notes. All my friends

"Ok OK OK" ( ya right what on earth is she talking about)
"MOMMY MOMMY there that is were I want to go by the movie place, Look!!!!"
"You mean the public Library?
"Ya the pup a weary.. they have book on puppies!!

As it turns out it is our school month at the local library and one night this month her class is going to try to meet up..... her little words got all tangled, much like mine do at school these days.

As you all know spelling is not my strong point... well neither is saying the names of bacteria in a oral quiz. Never the less we will be going to the pup a weary soon

Abby had a great first day. She really enjoyed the Art class and the Music. Somehow at lunch we lost several "Glad" dishes and a nice Ice pack, but thats fine with me as long as she had a fun day. I cannot believe she is that old already where has the time gone!!!!!

OK I know I'm really late but so is my life.

Here are some pics from Garth and Abby family reunion trip to Utah. They had a great time My favorite photos are of Abby drinking the Root Beer float. In "our" family "we" have decided to wait until Abby is 8 to have any kind of soda. It is no big deal she really dose not even ask for it. Unfortunately someone did not check with Garth and gave her soda. She has no clue what happened if you see in the photo's you can see her reaction to it all She sure did like it. I think if I tell her what happened it will upset her so for know she is soda free for a few more years. We do what we can !!

Good Times

Hello There

Ya we are alive, Thing had been quiet around here but thing's are picking up

Garth and Abby have a fabulous trip to Utah over the week of 4th of July they had a great time visiting all the family. All of Garth sibling got together with all the kids
For weeks before they went we went over the family rules of
SUNSCREEN, HATS, BUG SPRAY, NO SODA. DRESS UP WITH ALL CLOTHS ON. SWIMMING WITH GROW UPS ONLY

Right before they left I was warned about how bad the bug were up there especially the mosquito's well the whole time up there, out late at night, dusk and even in the mountains for a hike with "No" bug spray she did not get one BITE good ha well she is back in Texas for 24 hours and gets a real bad one. Tonight, back for 48 hr she is attacked on her FACE (4)AND NECK(5) WHILE COMING IN THE HOUSE FROM THE CAR!!!
I hate the bugs here.

Garth was very good with the Sunscreen and no sun burn YAAAA !! for Daddy They went swimming everyday

Swimming, eating out, bike riding, shopping, fire works, sports at the church ext...


On Monday our first day back to work Abby and I were leaving "Targeee" and we were rear-ended pretty bad. We we both pretty shaken up but other than my sore shoulders we are fine.

It happened about 3 min. from Garth's work So I called him to come right over I was weepy at this point, Abby was fine crawling all over the car ONCE WE WERE IN A PARKING LOT . ( I have a thing about car accidents ) The young lady was real apologetic and luckily had insurance. I was a little bit worried when she told me it was "Progressive" But I will say this.... they have been great. I mean, they called me every three hrs. the first day to make sure I was fine and to see if I had any questions, called late at night to see if I was in any pain. I had a rental car this morning at 8 am ( my car is totally drivable)

I called today and said I want them to replace Abby car seat and they said "Of course we will bring you the cash when we come to meet you tomorrow" I just can not say enough good things. My car will be done on Monday so get to keep the fancy new thing (only 900 miles) until than.

I need to run look back soon for some Utah pics ( OH ya a family rule was broken !!!! I will fill you in later )

I see her in so many ways and I realize its her. As we looked at the pictures to pick out what prints to get Abby was very involved in the decision making process telling me where I could put the different ones. She has requested an 10x13 for her room I said a 5x7 will do for now.

Hi

To all who is surviving the Summer with the kids.
I do love all the time with the kids but the Drama class is in high speed this summer, We have had several production each day !!

So far we have been to the movies, out to eat on Wednesday (cleaning lady comes), swimming that include "PILLY FLOPS" from Abby, beads, crafts especially the ones that make a HUGE mess ;0), bug bites, water gun fights, water balloon fights, doll dress up, Legos and the ever popular catching of the butterflys ok sometimes there are moths, but still are "so cool" to catch.. and so on..
By the end of the day I tired of all things summer, Abby has ruined yet another t- shirt and is filthy I make the quickest dinner, bath and re-bath in cleaner water. and put her to bed by 6:30 to 7 yep that is my day

I end my day with a little "View" check -email and a nightly phone call to my "sister" who husband is not home ever also. Oh the summer fun.

I wish I had pic to post but Daddy took the camera with him to show (off) us what it is like in a suite in St Lucia J/K.... well not really. I will post some pics soon

At the shin-dig they had afterwards they had theses cookies made to look like each child. The children were wanting to eat them all up, while the moms were discussing how to preserve them. (I still have Abby baby-shower cake decoration )

It was a special day for all the kids and the parents We will really miss all the teachers and staff It dose not get any better!!

Garth will be traveling ALLOT this summer and Abby really wanted to go with him we tried this idea Do you think it will work. She pretty flexible I think we can fold in half and buckle it. I'm just not sure about the long flight with out the potty ??

Abby and I will be free for dinner for about 6 weeks this summer just let us know !!

We, Garth, Abby, Nanna and I went to a combined ward picnic it was so much fun!! We had a good time. Abby had a good time playing with some old friend and having a blast with a water balloon fight, It started off as a game but got out of hand. It was so much fun to see everybody laughing and having some good ol fun with each other. We have had some ward changes and It has not been easy on the on the "LEFT BEHIND" US We realized at this picnic how much we miss our friends!!Good times Good times

Happy Pre K Graduation Abby!!

Where has the time gone ? It feels like yesterday that I was taking Abby to MDO at school. Abby has been at her little School for 3 yrs, It is such a fabulous school. The teachers and the staff there love the children and love what they do This is what I know from the past few years !!

1) I miss Abby from the moment I drop her off. I have often gone back to the class room for one more Hug and Kiss ( ok and sometime I hide and watch her play shhh)
2) Abby truly loves her friends and teachers and considers them part of our family.
3) It is OK for Abby to be the only one on the playground with sunscreen, sunhat and sunglasses on. (everybody knows who's hat is left out there)
4) Orange juice is the WORST smell if it gets spilled in the backpack from a leaky sippy cup ( We are on our second backpack this year)
5) Some days Abby's lunch is not the healthiest but at least it is not the worst !! agg candy in a kid lunch WHAT IS THAT ??
6) You get what you pay for in education, There is a reason this school never has any opening mid-School year and hardly at registration time.
7) Being room mom is a job But you get to know all the families real quick ! You meet some wonderful friends
8) Spoil the teacher. Spoil the teacher. Spoil the teacher. We love Miss Mary !!!
9) When Abby tells me about the fire drills or the Stranger Danger drills My heart skips a beat,I tear up hearing about it, however I am so thankful for a program that has a plan and the staff who is always on top of ANY issue.
10) ABBY IS ONE SMART COOKIE lol

She has learned so much. From numbers to letters, science, math, social skills, who like who (baby crushes) who has a new pet (Big this year) to a better understanding of the love that the Lord has for each one of us. She has learned tolerance of "other girl who said". She learned along with her BFF, Beth that if you do not want the "boys from that other class" to chase you RUN RUN RUN to the swings on the playground so they do not chase you, because the boys in her class will never chase them and scare them. We learned that sandals and pee gravel are not a good mix, why we have to were short under our dresses.
Most of all Abby has learned school is a good thing, learning is a fun thing. She will be safe and othere people love her. Mommy will always pick her up on time !!! and listen very carefully on the days events in Ms Mary's Pre K class. What I have learned is there is something about seeing her at the end of the day happy, in one piece with a smile that melts away any of the stress of life. Oh ya hearing her yell "Momma" when she see me, is the best word ever!!! Love you Abby

Mothers day 2007 My first video

OK I'm a little late but here are some great pics from our trip to Canada.

This is in NOVA SCOTIA on the way to Peggy's cove. Peggy's cove is as famous as Disneyland up there. Let me just say in all my travels near and far from the US and beyond. This is the most amazing place ever!
In the first pic that is someones house and there dock (That is the At. ocean You need to look up a map to see how the little fingers on the island really work) It is so clean and fresh When you get out of you car there all you do is smile. Ya that is a nice back yard

Peggy's cove is the name of a Lobster bay POPULATION ABOUT 70. Its has a huge Light House, which is the only real working post office in the area. Really when you go inside there is a little counter and a mail lady sitting there to send of your post card which they are happy to sell to you $$. The little boat you see are just boats for the resident's that live there. There is a few LITTLE restaunts there with Minimal seating. But as will all of Nova Scotia they had plenty of lobster and Digby scollop's Yummy oh and Mussels Abby even tryed them all.!!

The Light House. The Light House sits on a HUGE formation of rocks well like a boulder. You can walk all over it Eat on it, the kids run on it.. It is so breathtaking.


We really had the bast time their The food was so Yummy. McDonald's and Subway have lobster sandwiches. The is a big Greek influence there as well The history of that is to long to Blog but there are great Greek restaurant's there. They have this Gravy they pour over fries and top with cheese it like there national dish "pountain" maybe I'm not sure. Anyway the people there are so kid friendly. When you walk into the stores and shops and other places they just go crazy over the kids At fist I was like "oh it must be nice to kids week" lol, but Garth co workers there said that is just how the people are there very into children. If you eat and embrace the culture which we did for the week they call you a NEW MARIN TIMER that is a huge complement for a tourist to be labeled. It just means you "get it" I would move up therein a minute if we could, but you know the trade acts put a damper on that. A U.S. company that has an office up there can only hire Locals to work. Garth even had to have a Local "sponsor" because he was there a month
Anyway this is getting long. If you ever get a chance to go RUN RUN RUN you will love it .

Nothing is sweeter than your sleeping child and there little hot breath, my heart is so full when I see her like this. I'm so thankful she is mine !!! And I am hers !!!

  We had a great day!! This morning was Abby's first gymnastics meet. Garth, Nana and I were up early and ready to GO ! We had a bit of a drive but we made with out any problem. Abby was so excited to do her routines for all the events. Beam, Uneven bars, Vault and her favorite Floor. She was calm and really into the spirit of the games. They have them walk out as a team to the Olympic theme playing. As you can see Abby did very well She got first in every event! and all round Champion! She came home 5 with medals. Which are now decorating her room !! We are so proud of her. We are hoping that her dream of being the first 6 ft gymnasts will come true. Way to go Abby!!

P.S. Aunt Lorena it look likes you and Abby will be our world class Davis girls athletes. You both make us very proud of you sports accomplishments!! ( Aunt Lorena is a pro bike racer with a need for speed)

We love Crocs and Jibitz

Abby's new shoes !

Abby has been "n" love with these kind of shoes for about a year! I said when she is 5 she can have a pair in the summer. Well Abby's Auntie Kathleen (my aunt) and Alaina sent Abby a gift card for a new pair of shoes at Nordstrom ( We share a love of good shoes on Kids :) ) for her Birthday last month. As soon as Abby realized what the card was for she informed us that "with my shoes money card I'm going to get my favorite Crocs at my new mall". A few weeks ago Abby and Daddy were off to the mall in search for the "CROCS" They found the shoes. Daddy noticed the Cinderella Jibitz (charm) and got one for each shoe. The quest had began. Abby just LOVES her shoes she was even happy to go to the dentist in hope of showing them off. Wherever we go somehow the shoes are spoken of to all that will listen. She is now the hit of the Pre K class room. (The fashion princess of her class are all in agreement "THERE COOL AND PINK WITH PRINCESS"

Well today Abby got another white padded envelope with stickers, the true sign it is from Auntie Kathleen and Alaina, an adorable little stuffed bunny was included and MORE Jibitz, this time butterfly's and daisy flowers. Well all is good in the land of Abby !!. Right at this moment she is in those shoes with Princess Pj Why ? well they match of course chaaa ;0.

A big thanks to Auntie Kathleen and Alaina for all there generosity's. We love you!!

Long hair All HERS

I love her hair but it is getting a bit long. I asked if she wanted to donate it to Lock of Love. Well that did not go over to well. She said no it was her hair and she will keep all of it. I have gotten her to agree to a small trim, however she "will tell the girl how short" ;0).
We are having a good well the kids are off for spring break. Its getting really nice around here You can not beat the spring in TX. OK maybe the spring in California lol.

This is a Saturday activity around here. While I sleep Garth and Abby try to build towers as high as they can, than knock them over as LOUD as they can. Ya that wood table you see is full of little dents. It's a joy to wake up to 50 blocks dropping. This was a really good one she made..

Jassie is Abby's lovie. She has been with him since she was about 3 months old, we have no idea were she got him and Garth started the whole thing. When he was little she used to suck her thumb while she held him...But on day after church we came home to a new BIG Jassie.. the thumb sucking was over that night... ( man was I lucky to find a bigger version of Jassie ;0)... Jassie is her first love. All children should have a lovie right Rachelle. Jassie is the yellow Giraffe with the lovie eyes
